Password/PIN FAQ

  • What is the difference between a PIN and a password?
    A PIN is assigned by ECSI. A password is created by you. You may change your password at any time. Once you have selected a password, your PIN is only used if you forget your password. Your PIN will be needed the first time you login to your account.

    Note: The PIN for your ECSI online account is different than your Federal Student Aid PIN used to apply for financial aid.

  • Where is my Login Info?
    You will need your Organization Code, Account Number and Password (or PIN) in order to login. This information was provided to you via U.S. Mail at the time ECSI began servicing your Federal Perkins Loan.

    Your Organization Code and Account Number are also shown on your billing statement in the upper right hand side of the page. If this is your first time logging into your account, you will need your PIN which was provided to you via U.S. Mail at the time ECSI began servicing your Federal Perkins Loan. If you cannot locate this information, please contact our Customer Service Team at 866-313-3797 to reset your PIN. If you have already logged into your account, you can use your Password.

  • What if I forget my password?
    If you forget your password, there are several ways to gain access to your account.

    1. If you have registered your Email address on the Update Information page, you can have your password sent to you via Email. This is by far the simplest method.
    2. If you know the PIN that ECSI initially assigned to you, you may access the Reset Your Password link. You can then go back and change your password to something you will remember.
    3. If you cannot remember your PIN and you have not registered an Email address, you can use the View Login Credentials form or contact our Customer Service Team.

    These are the only ways to gain access to your online account without providing some proof of identification (such as a driver's license, or registered banking information).
